CLASS OR LECTURER THAT HAS IMPACTED YOU SIGNIFICANTLY (PART 2)
I love writing because it gives me the space to write and express anything that I want, especially when I'm writing about my life such as writing it in the journal. But it's totally opposite with formal writing or any writing material that have their distinct instruction and rule for each of the paragraph and sentence. It's more like you can't freely write anything you want or in another words you can't fully follow your own writing style. Sometimes this kind of writing makes my brain stuck to think on how to build a strong sentence structure and even made me spending my time for hours just to avoid any mistakes in writing. For instance, writing a letter or an essay from the given assignment. Furthermore, I also lack in writing the ideas without the elaboration running from the main topic.
After I've got into a class with my lovely lecturer, Miss Asiah, she has begun to guide and help me in HPC1043 - Writing Development 1 subject. I really like the way she taught us with patience and with her humbleness teaching style. Slowly, I had discovered a lot and deepen my comprehension about writing through this subject. She also has guided me step by step on how to keep your essay organise. This writing technique is actually the same as in our secondary school back time which was we need to think and make a mind map or jot down the bullet points first before we begin to write any essays. However, as a student in college that take this subject, I have learnt step by step starting from introduction until conclusion of an essay. I have also learnt step by step in a deeper way that we also need to develop the idea to the highest level in crafting sentences that are pleasant for readers to read our reading materials.
I still remember, she once said, writing a novel or any kind of fiction books necessarily need us to organise it neatly and moreover the punctuation in the sentences is also crucial in writing if you want the readers to read it continually and make them wondering like, "What will happen next?" . This part also made me realized that it's also not easy as we think to create a novel that have both high-quality and substantial, from internal and external. Because writing the novel also require us to spend a lot of time to check it not only twice, but many times to make sure that there is no grammar incorrect in each paragraphs so that the readers will feel more excited to continue reading.
This class has impacted me significantly to keep improving my thinking skills and writing it neatly, so that, your writing won't be messy to read.
